Branches 3-4 Yrs

Oxford Greens Early Education Centre has set up a 3 - 4 Years Branches Room thoughtfully to support the developmental needs along with the emerging interests of preschoolers, according to the rules and regulations of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF). In this organized, engaging space, the kids acquire a balance of structured learning experiences and opportunities for independent exploration.

The rooms are bright and inviting, where a variety of learning areas are featured, which include dramatic play-zones, literacy corners and science discovery stations. All these learning areas aim to foster creativity, problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

While keeping in terms with outcomes of EYLF, the Branches room emphasizes a play-based approach to learning. Here, the children are encouraged to get engaged in activities promoting their cognitive, social and emotional development. To facilitate this, educators enrich learning environments and provide resources which spark curiosity and imagination. The challenging as well as achievable activities designed at our 3 - 4 Years Branches Room allow the children to build on their existing knowledge and skills at the time of exploring new concepts. Through play, the children get the opportunity to develop their language skills, and mathematical thinking and understand the world surrounding them.

EYLF focuses on building secure and respectful relationships that form the cornerstone of the Branches room environment. Educators encourage collaboration, empathy and effective communication among children to foster positive interactions. The room is set up with collaborative spaces for the children to work on projects together and share ideas, to support their social development and teamwork skills. Educators even engage with the children in meaningful conversations, listen to their ideas and guide their learning experiences to reflect their interests and developmental needs.

The 3 - 4 Years Branches Room has also incorporated elements supporting physical development and overall well-being. Through active play and physical activities, they enhance their gross motor skills. They are taught crafting and building to help them develop fine motor skills. The room's design promotes both physical activity and quiet time, which ensures children have a balanced routine supporting their health and energy levels.

On the whole, the 3 - 4 Years Branches Room at Oxford Greens Early Education Centre is completely dedicated to providing a holistic learning environment aligned with the EYLF. Purposeful play and responsive interactions are combined, and cognitive and physical development are focused on. That is how the 3 - 4 Years Branches Room creates a supportive and stimulating space for the preschoolers to thrive and get prepared for their future educational journey.
